The funeral of Joseph Hirst, late Secretary of the installation at the World's Fair, will be held at 10 o'clock this morning from the residence, No 3111 Michigan avenue.

Funeral of Joseph Hirst. Funeral services were held yesterday over the remains of Jospeh Hirst, late Secretary of Installation at the World's Fair. The only members of the family present were Mrs. Hirst, the widow, his sister, and his son. The Rev. H. O. Rowlands officiated, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Spencer of Racine, Wis. The pall-bearers were L. W. Robinson, Dr. S. H. Peabody, W. A. Smith, Prof. F. W. Putnam, Maj. M. P. Handy, and James Allison, all Chiefs of Departments at the Exposition. Among others who were present were Director-General Davis, Walker Fearn, W. H. Holcomb, E. C. Shankland, and E. R. Graham. Interment was at Oakwoods.
